FEDERAL CAPITAL PARTNERS MANAGING PARTNER, TOM CARR, TO MODERATE DCBIA ANNUAL CAPITAL MARKETS SEMINAR


Federal Capital Partners (FCP) is pleased to announce that Managing Partner, Thomas A. Carr, will moderate a panel of economists and nationally recognized real estate capital markets experts at the D.C. Building Industry Association (DCBIA) Annual Capital Markets Seminar. Titled “Clearing Skies with a Chance of Money”, the seminar will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the National Press Club from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Carr will guide panelists Sam Chandon of Real Capital Analytics, E.J. Burke of KeyBank Real Estate Capital, Tom Melody of Jones Lang LaSalle and Pamela Herbst of AEW Capital Management through topics ranging from the post election view of the economy and real estate capital markets to the effects of government downsizing, state of construction lending, the future of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and capital placement strategies.

Carr, with more than 30 years of experience in private and public real estate, focuses on all aspects of development, operations, capital markets and investments for FCP. He is the former Chairman and CEO of CarrAmerica Realty Corporation (formerly NYSE:CRE), serves as Chairman of the Board of the NHP Foundation, is a trustee of the Federal City Council and is on the Board of The Oliver Carr Company. He has served in the past on the Executive Committee of the Board of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, the Real Estate Roundtable and is a former President of the Board of The Maret School.

FCP has acquired or funded close to $1 billion of real estate in the past two years through the company’s FCP Fund I, L.P, a co-mingled real estate private equity fund. The investments include multi-family residential, office and retail real estate in the Mid-Atlantic region.
