FCP® in 2021 announced its commitment to a partnership with Project Destined, a social impact education and investment platform that specializes in training youth. The partnership will support Project Destined’s growing platform serving students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
FCP team members will participate in an 8-week long virtual summer internship with Project Destined students. The students will spend their time learning about the fundamentals of real estate, hearing from industry leaders, and preparing for bi-weekly "Shark Tank" style pitch competitions where students will present a live real estate deal to a panel of judges. FCP will directly support 10 students participating in the program from universities in Washington, DC, including Howard University. Team members will be serving as mentors by helping students prepare for the bi-weekly pitch competitions and providing insight and advice on the real estate industry. FCP will join the program's Executive Speaker Series and will contribute a judge to the final deal competition.
